Golf Fitness Best Practice: Promote Golf Fitness Among Your Practice Range Customers

Adam Betzthe 2020 Gateway PGA Section Player Development Award winner, is the PGA Owner/Operator of Family Golf and Learning Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Adam Betz on the importance of promoting golf fitness among your practice range customers:

At Family Golf and Learning Center, we offer a wide array of activities and professional services for the die-hard golfer, casual player, high schooler seeking a spot on the varsity team and the 50+ man or woman who spends too much time at their desk. With 60 TurfHound hitting bays on the range and additional real grass tees, a nine-hole Par 3 course, a short game area, an indoor Scoring Lab, indoor golf simulators, food and beverage, custom club fitting and repair and a 1,000 sq. ft. golf shop, we quite literally have something for everyone in your foursome or your family. That also includes a 2,500 sq. ft. fitness and performance center. With Sports Chiropractor and TPI Specialist, Dr. Zach Cutler on board, we now offer full-time chiropractic services and attention to the physical aspect of golf performance and training. He puts golfers through a screening process that isolates areas of the body that require attention and are hindering the golfer from reaching his or her maximum potential on the golf course. Dr. Cutler uses his years of education and experience to rectify these scenarios and help the golfer score better and have more fun playing the game. He uses chiropractic care, manual therapies, specific exercises and focused workout programming that is geared to the individual in front of him.

Adam Betz on the business impact of promoting golf fitness among your practice range customers:

We offer a couple of innovative package options to get our golfers more fit for golf. The first is a Performance Chiropractic package that includes a TPI and Selective Functional Movement Assessment by Dr. Cutler, as well as treatment through Soft Tissue Active Release Techniques. The second package includes Dr. Cutler’s chiropractic care and physical training, as well as a series of golf lessons to put it all together. Dr. Cutler and our full slate of PGA and LPGA Teaching Professionals work together to provide the most focused attention to every client they see. The combination of physical training for the body and technical study and application of the golf swing is unbeatable in today’s technological age. Add to that the custom club fitting and repair services of our specialist Jordan Clark, and you have a true one-stop shop for all things golf. When new clubs are needed to match the enhanced skills and physical stature of our golfers, we serve those needs out of our on-site golf shop. We offer gym memberships that enable clients to use such fitness tools as free weights, power racks, treadmills, bikes, cable machines and a TRX suspension device. With single, couple and family rates, we’re gearing all of our amenities to our full slate of potential customers. After all, we have a stellar team across every segment of our facility – so once a customer experiences what we have to offer, they come back time after time.
