Program Design & Implementation:
Announcing an Exciting New Golf Fitness Certification Program

It’s a new year, and time for an exciting new collaboration between the Golf Fitness Association of America (GFAA) and Gray Institute. Kicking off at the PGA Show this month will be a new two-tiered online certification program for fitness professionals, golf coaches, athletic trainers, chiropractors, strength and conditioning coaches, physical therapists and all movement professionals.

Dr. Gary Gray is the preeminent authority on the study of human movement, and he has a staff that has literally learned from the best. The Gray Institute has worked with countless professional athletes (including dozens of professional golfers) and over 250,000 movement professionals around the world in its 45 years of research and scientific-based solutions to improve health outcomes. As an organization dedicated to providing pertinent and timely information on the business of golf fitness, the GFAA is proud to partner with Dr. Gray and his team.

The two-part certification program includes 3D Functional Movement Coach, and is followed by 3D Functional Golf Coach – each session takes approximately 5½ hours to complete.

Once certified in 3D Functional Movement Coach and 3D Functional Golf Coach, professionals can pursue various other vital Gray Institute certifications while staying abreast of trends in the industry and networking with peers through the GFAA. Both organizations provide ongoing best practices and engagement to ensure you are up to date in your education, whether formal or informal, so you can continue to grow your business and help your clients be their best in golf and in life. In fact, newly certified professionals will have access to videos that they can share with their clients to maintain communication between in-person sessions together.

Whether you’re new to the business or have logged decades of care for your clients, you’ll have a better understanding of how the body works and the science behind the chain reaction, whether it’s playing golf, walking on the beach, picking up your child or playing another sport. To help your clients play golf pain-free and for longer into their golden years, continuing your education with this Movement and Golf certification program will make you more valuable to those you serve.

Facilitating the program will be Dr. Gary Gray, Dr. David Tiberio and Doug Gray, President of Gray Institute who “has spearheaded the institute’s development and delivery of Applied Functional Science Nomenclature.”

With the program going live this month, you can register at the program’s new website. Also, check out the GFAA’s schedule of events at the PGA Show in this issue of Golf Fitness Monthly, and log on to Gray Institute’s website for more information on their extensive menu of certification programs.
